Tired of people thinking that I exist to educate them.
Western, medicalized models of disability are directly tied-in with colonialism; Indigenous people who would be labelled intellectually/cognitively disabled today (like yours truly) were considered to be special and capable of accessing a different form of spiritual power in the past, before the era of the big three C’s (Capitalism, Christianity and Colonialism). So dismantling colonialism requires challenging and eradicating ableism.
Day was pretty awesome. Got a 95% and a 90% on two assignments and hung out with a doge all day.
